Renee Wright, LCSW
Individual Therapy, Couples Therapy and Consultation
Welcome to Spoke Therapy. I am the founding director of our practice. I am very proud of the work, skills and talent of our therapists. Our shared commitment to our core values and the therapeutic work we do has significantly improved the lives of the adults, adolescents and older adults which I have had the privilege to work with.
Throughout my 30 years of experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I have seen therapy bring about real and lasting change and improve the lives of those I have been given the privilege to work with. I hold that honor deeply.
I draw on a wide range of therapeutic modalities (psycho-dynamic, relational, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and mindfulness theories). I have journeyed with hundreds of young adults, adults and older adults who are experiencing depression, anxiety or mood disorders, dissociative disorder, life transitions, trauma, PTSD, grief, and relationship issues to build fulfilling and joyful lives.

Individual and group THERAPy
There can be moments or events in life that overwhelm our capacity to cope, get in the way of being our authentic selves, or of being fully present in our lives. I am here to help you find your way back into a meaningful life, whatever that means to you. I work with adults who are dealing with depression, anxiety, life transitions, relationship concerns, and trauma.
My goal is to collaboratively create a safe therapeutic relationship in which you are accepted-- just as you are-- and have the freedom to explore how you would like to make lasting change in your life. I am experienced in DBT, psychodynamic psychotherapy, mindfulness, and am trained in Level I Sensorimotor Psychotherapy. I am committed to supporting you in discovering your innate capacity for growth and healing through building insight into patterns and dynamics from the past, learning new skills, and honoring the wisdom of the body.

Individual and group Therapy
I provide individual psychotherapy to adolescents and adults navigating a diverse range of problems, including depression, anxiety, trauma, and life transitions. I draw from a variety of different modalities in my work, but primarily draw from psychodynamic, attachment-based, and mindfulness approaches to nurture your innate self-insight and capacity to enact positive change in your life. I have worked in schools and as an outpatient therapist at the University of Chicago and have a special interest in treating adolescents, young adults, and families.
My intention is to create a collaborative space in which you are able to explore patterns of relating to yourself, your past, others, and your environment. Together, we identify areas of focus and explore what carries the capacity to help you reconnect with yourself with meaning and authenticity.

Individual and group Therapy
As a bi-lingual therapist (English and Spanish), I support adults and young adults who want to develop a deeper understanding of their mind and what makes up their sense of self. I prioritize our relationship in therapy and will be curious about the thoughts, behaviors, and experiences we explore together. We will work on improving relationships, reducing depression and anxiety, improving life satisfaction, finding clarity, and increasing physical and psychological awareness.
I utilize an integrative approach thoughtfully using multiple models: relational psychodynamic theory, attachment theory, systems theory, and neuroscience. The focus of my work, is to support individuals impacted by adverse experiences in order to gain a greater understanding about themselves and their environment to enable impactful change in their lives. I have experience working with adults and families on addressing medical diagnosis and treatment, relationship issues, personality disorders, mood disorders, anxiety, violence or abuse.
