Our Practice

We are a trauma-informed practice meaning that our therapists have advanced training and experience in treating complex trauma. We believe the therapeutic relationship is the avenue for healing. Our primary intention is to build a safe and trusting alliance to explore how one’s experiences impact one’s life: past and present. We attend to the distress and pain one is carrying that interferes with contentment and a feeling of wellbeing. Our therapists have advanced training and experience in many therapeutic modalities, DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), Mindfulness, Sensorimotor psychotherapy.

Our Commitment

At Spoke Therapy we commit to the values of integrity, honesty, courage, respect, mutuality, consistency, compassion and confidentiality.  We stand against violence and injustice done to Black people, People of Color, Indigenous People and LGBTQIA+ people by individuals and institutions. We acknowledge the harm done and provide a safe environment for our clients who have endured trauma whether interpersonal, systemic, or institutional.  We intentionally work to be an anti-racist, anti-homophobic, anti-transphobic organization by acknowledging how much more we need to learn and seeking to stay open and educate ourselves.

Outcomes

Through a consistent and committed therapy process, our clients experience a renewed sense of identity and authenticity.  They experience improved insight, clarity and boundaries, feel more compassionate with themselves and others, and experience more joy in their lives.
